Information of the product
TOS ZNOJMO, Joint-Stock Co., a traditional producer and supplier, offers industrial gearboxes of a new design, high use value and reliability, type identification MTC..A. The block casing design of sizes MTC 0.A – MTC 5.A, made of aluminium alloys, is characterised by high stiffness and low weight. The basic version is delivered without varnish.
The block casing of MTC 6.A – MTC 8.A sizes is made of cast iron. Standard gearboxes are varnished with RAL 5021. Smooth gear ratio spacing allows precise choice of required output speed.
Gearboxes of all sizes, stainless steel version, can be ordered.

Connecting dimensions
Lubricants
Gearboxes, MTC..A series, are lubricated by gear bath in oil combined with oil splashing. When performed under normal conditions, it secures proper function, life and performance of the gearbox. Only the position, for which the gearbox has been designed, is permissible with respect to the deaerating plug location. When the operating position is changed, adjust the lubrication quantity for 0–5 gearboxes according to the table. The P2 position cannot be used with gearboxes of sizes 6 and 8. The gearbox shall be arranged at site for this position.
The MTC..A gearboxes are standard delivered with Shell Spirax ASX 75 W-90 oil filling; it is a synthetic oil which under normal conditions provides gearbox operation requiring no maintenance and oil exchange during its life. If a different lubricant is required, e.g. due to more difficult conditions (higher operating temperature, high speed), additives included in the lubricant shall be prevented from attacking the oil packing. Synthetic oils are recommended, they secure longterm life, stability and gear transmission efficiency. When mineral oil filling is used, replacement is necessary after a certain period. When grease is used, it is necessary to consider worse heat removal, lower efficiency, worse lubrication of all components resulting in higher wear. Recommended lubricants are specified in the table called Equivalent Lubricants. Oil quantity for individual types and size of gearboxes is specified in the table called Lubricant Quantity. It is not advised to mix lubricant from various producers. Mixing of synthetic and mineral lubricant is inadmissible.
